The Master Classics of Poker (MCOP) is one of the longest-running live poker tournament series. Last year, the festival doubled its event schedule to include more than two dozen events to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

This year's schedule is equally as big for its 26th edition taking place at the Holland Casino Amsterdam from Nov. 15-25.

The highlight of the poker festival is, of course, the MCOP €4,300 Main Event. Last year, local Dutch player Hakim Zoufri won the event for €275,608 after outlasting a field of 356 entrants.

That marked the fourth time this decade the trophy was kept on home soil as David Boyaciyan (2011 - €382,200), Noah Boeken (2013 - €306,821) and Ruben Visser (2014 - €306,821) also notched recent victories in the Main Event.

Main Event

This year's Main Event should prove to be equally exciting. The tournament is a deep-stacked affair with players starting out with 30,000 in chips. Blind levels increase every 60 minutes during the first two opening flights on Nov. 17 and Nov. 21 and every 20 minutes during a turbo-flight on Nov. 21.

Players bagging chips will combine for Day 2 on Nov. 22 and the tournament will play through Nov. 24 until a winner is crowned. Starting on Day 3, blinds go up to 75 minutes, providing players a deeper structure.

The schedule features many satellites to some of the bigger events including six €330 qualifiers to the Main Event.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to cover both the Main Event and the MCOP €25,500 Super High Roller on Nov. 18-19, which is expected to attract some of the biggest names in poker.

Welcome back to the PokerNews coverage of the €1,100 Main Event at the 2019 WSOP International Circuit in Holland Casino Rotterdam. Cards will be in the air for Day 1b at 2 p.m. and there will be another starting flight at 10 p.m. later tonight. The tournament features a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000 with the winner not only taking home the lion share but also the coveted WSOP Circuit Ring. The winner of the Main Event also receives a ticket worth $10,000 for the WSOP Global Casino Championship.

It's the third time that the WSOP Circuit visits Holland Casino in Rotterdam. Eyal Bensimhon took the ring and €93,349 first-place prize down the first time and non-other than three-time GPI ranking winner of the Netherlands Tobias Peters won in 2018 when he beat Bart Beens heads-up. Peters won €67,766 and a WSOP Circuit Ring. The buy-in for this year's Main Event was reduced from €1,650 to €1,100.

Holland

The players will start with 30,000 chips and they will play twelve 40-minute levels. There are twelve levels scheduled for today with a 15-minute break after every three levels. There will be a split dinner break with half the field going on a break after level six and the other half going on a break after Level seven.

They are all chasing Renato Messina who finished Day 1a with the chip lead after bagging 237,000. He is the only non-Dutch player who sits in the top five as he is followed by Rashed Zade, Jerome Riverola, Kevin Pagué, and Francisco Marti.

Make sure to keep an eye on PokerNews to follow along as Day 1b progresses.
